Sea Frond Bag

Sea Frond Bag

I have recently started experimenting with a new material, used by milliners to stiffen hats. I like the movement it has, and the ethereal way it floats in the breeze.

The structure of shells, and images of sea urchins, prompted me to make these Sea Frond Bags, using a technique that is used in Spain to make snail-keeping baskets.
